Last updated: 1st October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases of jewellery, diamonds, gemstones and related services from Anikah London (“Anikah”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By placing an order with us, you (“you” or “the Customer”) confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. ABOUT ANIKAH
Anikah London is a bespoke and fine jewellery business specialising in individually sourced diamonds, gemstones and handcrafted jewellery.
Our jewellery may be manufactured, finished or sourced through specialist third-party suppliers, manufacturers, workshops, setters, goldsmiths, laboratories, assay offices and other industry professionals.
We work with established jewellery and diamond networks in the UK and internationally and may source stones or materials specifically for an individual customer.
2. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms:
“Bespoke Jewellery” means jewellery designed, altered, manufactured or commissioned specifically for you, including jewellery made to an individual design, CAD design, specification, gemstone selection, metal specification, engraving, personalisation, ring size or other individual requirements.
“Ready-to-Wear Jewellery” means jewellery which is already manufactured and available for immediate purchase without individual manufacturing or personalisation.
“Made-to-Order Jewellery” means jewellery manufactured following your order but based substantially on an existing Anikah design or specification.
“Deposit” means an amount paid towards the purchase price before manufacturing, sourcing or commissioning begins.
“Order Confirmation” means our written confirmation accepting your order.
“Working Day” means Monday to Friday excluding UK public holidays.
3. FORMATION OF THE CONTRACT
A consultation, quotation, proposal, CAD design, gemstone recommendation or invoice does not by itself constitute acceptance of an order.
A legally binding contract is formed when Anikah confirms acceptance of your order in writing, ordinarily by email or Order Confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline an order where, for example:
- we are unable to source the requested materials;
- a requested design cannot reasonably be manufactured;
- a pricing or description error has occurred;
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity; or
- we are unable to complete the order for reasons outside our reasonable control.
If we decline an order after receiving payment, we will refund any amount properly due to you.
4. BESPOKE JEWELLERY
Bespoke jewellery is created specifically for the individual customer and may involve design work, CAD modelling, gemstone sourcing, casting, setting, polishing, engraving, hallmarking and other specialist manufacturing processes.
Before production begins, you may be required to approve:
- the design;
- CAD images or drawings;
- metal type and colour;
- gemstone or diamond specifications;
- dimensions;
- ring size;
- setting style;
- engraving;
- any other material specification relevant to the piece.
Once production has commenced, changes may not be possible or may result in additional charges and delays.
It is your responsibility to carefully review and approve all specifications supplied to you before production begins.
Where you approve a CAD design, drawing or written specification, Anikah will manufacture the jewellery substantially in accordance with that approved specification, subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances and the natural characteristics of gemstones and precious metals.
5. DESIGN APPROVAL
Where CAD or other design approval is required, production will normally commence only after written approval has been received from you.
Your approval confirms that you have checked the design and specifications and authorised us to proceed.
Minor technical changes may occasionally be necessary during manufacture where they are reasonably required for structural integrity, setting, manufacture or finishing and do not materially alter the agreed design.
We will notify you where a proposed change would materially alter the agreed design or specification.
6. CAD DESIGN FEES
Where applicable, a CAD/design fee may be charged.
Any design fee will be communicated to you before the work is undertaken.
Where a bespoke project does not proceed into production, the design fee may be retained to cover design and professional work already carried out, provided this has been clearly disclosed and agreed before the work begins.
A design fee will not affect your statutory rights where goods or services supplied by Anikah are faulty or otherwise fail to comply with applicable consumer law.
7. BESPOKE DEPOSITS
A deposit may be required before Anikah begins sourcing materials or manufacturing your jewellery.
The amount of the deposit will be confirmed in writing before the order is placed.
For bespoke jewellery, the deposit may be used towards costs already reasonably incurred, including:
- CAD and design work;
- gemstone or diamond sourcing;
- reservation or purchase of a particular stone;
- manufacturing;
- casting;
- setting;
- engraving;
- hallmarking;
- specialist labour;
- materials;
- third-party supplier charges; and
- other costs reasonably incurred specifically for your order.
If you cancel a bespoke order after work or production has commenced, Anikah may deduct reasonable costs already incurred and any reasonable loss directly resulting from the cancellation, rather than automatically retaining the entire deposit.
Any remaining balance due to you will be refunded.
Nothing in this clause limits any cancellation or refund right which cannot legally be excluded.
8. CANCELLATION OF BESPOKE ORDERS
Genuinely bespoke, personalised or customised jewellery may be exempt from the statutory 14-day cancellation right applicable to certain distance contracts.
This may include jewellery:
- made to your individual specifications;
- manufactured specifically for you;
- individually altered;
- engraved or personalised;
- incorporating a gemstone or diamond specifically sourced for you; or
- incorporating a design created specifically for you.
Whether an item qualifies for the exemption depends on the circumstances of the particular order.
If you cancel before production or sourcing has commenced, we will consider your request and, where appropriate, refund monies paid less any reasonable costs already incurred.
If you cancel after sourcing or manufacturing has commenced, we may deduct reasonable costs already incurred and any reasonable loss resulting from the cancellation.
We will provide details of any deductions upon request.
9. READY-TO-WEAR JEWELLERY AND CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
For eligible Ready-to-Wear Jewellery purchased online or otherwise as a distance contract, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods.
Where this right applies, you must notify us clearly of your decision to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
You must then return the jewellery within the required period.
Returned jewellery must be:
- unworn;
- undamaged;
- in its original condition;
- accompanied by all original packaging, certificates and documentation; and
- returned securely and appropriately packaged.
You remain responsible for the goods until they are safely received by Anikah.
Where the law requires a refund, we will process it within the applicable statutory timeframe.
Where you selected a delivery method more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery option, we are only required to reimburse the cost of the standard delivery option.
10. ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS
Subject to your statutory rights, the right to cancel does not apply to certain products including:
- genuinely bespoke jewellery;
- personalised jewellery;
- engraved jewellery;
- jewellery made specifically to your individual specifications;
- jewellery incorporating a gemstone or diamond specifically sourced or commissioned for you;
- items which have been materially altered at your request; and
- other goods which fall within a statutory exemption.
This does not affect your rights where the jewellery is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer law.
11. RING SIZING
You are responsible for providing accurate ring-size information where you are asked to do so.
Where Anikah assists with determining your ring size, we will provide guidance based on the information available to us, but ring sizing can be affected by finger temperature, time of day, width of the ring, ring profile and individual preference.
A ring which has been manufactured to the size approved by you will not automatically be considered defective simply because you subsequently prefer a different size.
Where resizing is possible, we may offer a resizing service for an additional charge.
The cost will depend upon:
- the metal;
- amount of resizing required;
- design;
- gemstones;
- construction;
- whether additional metal is required; and
- whether the ring can safely be resized.
Certain designs cannot safely be resized or may require remanufacture.
Any resizing will be discussed with you before work begins.
12. GEMSTONES AND DIAMONDS
Diamonds and gemstones are natural materials and may exhibit individual characteristics.
Where applicable, the stone’s certificate will provide the relevant grading or identification information.
Where a specific stone has been approved by you, the final jewellery will incorporate that stone or an agreed equivalent where expressly authorised.
We will not substitute a diamond or gemstone with another stone without your consent where the substitution would materially alter the agreed specification.
Natural gemstones may contain inclusions, colour variation, internal characteristics and other features which are part of their natural formation.
Lab-grown diamonds are man-made diamonds with essentially the same chemical composition and crystal structure as natural diamonds but are not mined diamonds. They will be clearly described as lab-grown where applicable.
We will not describe a lab-grown diamond as a natural diamond.
13. DIAMOND AND GEMSTONE CERTIFICATES
Where a diamond or gemstone is supplied with a recognised laboratory certificate, the certificate relates to the stone described within it.
Certificates are issued by independent grading laboratories and are not warranties issued by Anikah.
Where a certificate is available, it will normally be supplied with the jewellery or made available to you.
Minor variations between certificate information, measurements and finished jewellery may occur because jewellery manufacturing involves setting and finishing processes.
14. NATURAL VARIATION AND MANUFACTURING TOLERANCES
Jewellery is handcrafted and may contain minor variations arising from manufacturing, finishing, polishing, casting and setting.
Where jewellery incorporates natural gemstones, no two stones will necessarily be identical.
Differences in colour, tone, inclusions, texture, symmetry and appearance may therefore occur.
Such characteristics do not constitute a defect where they are consistent with the agreed specification and the nature of the material.
However, nothing in this clause excludes your statutory rights relating to goods which are not of satisfactory quality, not as described or not fit for purpose.
15. METALS AND HALLMARKING
Jewellery supplied by Anikah will be accurately described according to the precious metal used.
Where legally required, precious-metal jewellery will be hallmarked in accordance with applicable UK hallmarking requirements.
UK hallmarking legislation imposes minimum weight thresholds for compulsory hallmarking, including 1 gram for gold, 7.78 grams for silver, 0.5 gram for platinum and 1 gram for palladium.
Where an item falls below an applicable statutory threshold, a full hallmark may not be legally required.
16. PRICES
All prices will be stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise specified.
Prices displayed or quoted by Anikah will include VAT where legally applicable.
For bespoke jewellery, the quoted price will be based on the specification agreed at the time of quotation.
Where a quotation is based on volatile market prices, including precious-metal, diamond or gemstone prices, the quotation may be subject to a stated validity period.
Any expiry date or price-change mechanism will be clearly communicated before the customer commits to the purchase.
Once a binding order has been accepted, Anikah will not increase the agreed price except where:
- you request a change to the specification;
- an additional cost is expressly agreed by you;
- the original quotation was clearly conditional upon a stated market price or availability; or
- the law otherwise permits the change.
17. PAYMENTS
Payment methods accepted by Anikah will be communicated at the time of purchase.
For bespoke jewellery, production may not commence until the required deposit or payment has cleared.
The final balance must be paid before jewellery is released or delivered unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Anikah reserves the right to withhold delivery or collection where payment remains outstanding.
18. PAYMENT SECURITY AND FRAUD PREVENTION
For high-value transactions, Anikah may carry out reasonable security and fraud-prevention checks.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify a payment or transaction.
If we reasonably believe a transaction may be fraudulent, unlawful or unauthorised, we may delay or refuse fulfilment and, where appropriate, refund monies received.
19. DELIVERY
Estimated delivery dates will be provided at the time of order.
Bespoke jewellery may require several stages of production, including sourcing, CAD approval, casting, setting, polishing, hallmarking and quality control.
Delivery dates are therefore estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed in writing.
We will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated dates and will keep you informed of material delays.
Where applicable consumer law imposes a statutory delivery deadline, that deadline will apply unless a different period has lawfully been agreed with you.
20. DELIVERY OF HIGH-VALUE JEWELLERY
High-value jewellery may be delivered using a tracked, insured and/or signature-required service.
We may require photographic identification or other reasonable verification before releasing particularly high-value orders.
You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address supplied is secure and accurate.
Once the parcel has been delivered to the address provided by you, responsibility for the goods will transfer in accordance with applicable consumer law.
21. COLLECTION
Where collection is agreed, the customer may be required to provide:
- confirmation of the order;
- proof of identity; and/or
- proof of payment.
Anikah may refuse collection to a third party unless prior written authorisation has been provided.
22. INSPECTION ON RECEIPT
We strongly recommend that you inspect your jewellery as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
If there is any visible damage to the packaging or jewellery, please notify us promptly and provide photographs where possible.
This does not limit your statutory rights in respect of faults discovered later.
23. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT GOODS
If jewellery is faulty, damaged before delivery, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not comply with your statutory rights, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer:
- repair;
- replacement;
- price reduction; or
- refund.
Consumer law provides statutory protections concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with description. These rights cannot be excluded by our Terms & Conditions.
Where a fault becomes apparent within the relevant statutory period, your legal rights will apply.
24. WARRANTY
Where Anikah provides a separate written warranty or guarantee, its terms will be supplied with the relevant jewellery.
Any Anikah warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory consumer rights.
A warranty may cover manufacturing defects but may not cover:
- accidental damage;
- loss;
- theft;
- misuse;
- improper care;
- normal wear and tear;
- unauthorised repairs or alterations;
- damage caused by chemicals;
- damage caused by impact;
- damage caused by inappropriate use; or
- damage arising from failure to follow jewellery-care instructions.
These exclusions do not apply where doing so would unlawfully restrict your statutory rights.
25. JEWELLERY CARE
Fine jewellery requires appropriate care.
We recommend that jewellery is removed when:
- exercising;
- swimming;
- bathing or showering;
- using cleaning chemicals;
- gardening;
- undertaking manual work; or
- participating in activities where jewellery may be exposed to impact or abrasion.
Perfume, lotions, chemicals, chlorine and other substances may damage certain metals, finishes and gemstones.
Anikah cannot be responsible for deterioration caused by normal wear, misuse or failure to follow reasonable care instructions, subject always to your statutory rights.
26. LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GEMSTONES
Gemstone settings should be checked periodically.
Prong wear, accidental impact or normal wear may cause a stone to become loose.
We recommend periodic professional inspection, particularly for engagement rings and frequently worn jewellery.
Where a gemstone becomes loose or is lost due to wear, accidental damage or circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect, the cost of repair or replacement may be chargeable.
27. REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS
Repairs or alterations undertaken by Anikah may be chargeable depending on the cause and nature of the work.
If jewellery has been repaired, altered, resized or modified by another jeweller or third party without our written approval, any Anikah warranty relating to the affected work may be invalidated to the extent permitted by law.
This does not remove any statutory rights which cannot lawfully be excluded.
28. BESPOKE DESIGN OWNERSHIP
All original Anikah designs, CAD files, drawings, technical designs, photographs, branding, concepts and other intellectual property created by Anikah remain the property of Anikah unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
You receive the jewellery you purchase but do not automatically acquire ownership of Anikah’s underlying design files or intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, manufacture, commercialise or provide Anikah’s proprietary designs or CAD files to another manufacturer without our written permission.
29. CUSTOMER-PROVIDED DESIGNS
If you provide us with a design, photograph, drawing, CAD file or other material, you confirm that you have the right to provide it to us for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
You remain responsible for any third-party intellectual property rights associated with materials you provide.
Anikah may refuse to reproduce a design where doing so may infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
30. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING
We may photograph completed jewellery for our internal records and quality-control purposes.
We will not use photographs that identify you or your personal information for marketing purposes without appropriate consent.
Where you have expressly agreed to allow Anikah to photograph your jewellery for marketing purposes, you may withdraw future marketing permission by contacting us.
31. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Anikah will process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information.
Please see our Privacy Policy at:
32. COMMUNICATIONS
You agree that Anikah may contact you using the email address, telephone number or other contact details supplied by you regarding:
- your order;
- payments;
- design approval;
- delivery;
- alterations;
- repairs;
- appointments; and
- other matters directly relating to your purchase.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection and electronic-marketing laws.
33. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
Anikah may use specialist third parties to provide aspects of an order, including:
- diamond and gemstone suppliers;
- manufacturers;
- CAD designers;
- casting houses;
- setters;
- goldsmiths;
- polishers;
- assay offices;
- engraving specialists; and
- secure delivery providers.
Anikah remains responsible to the customer for the goods and services supplied under the contract in accordance with applicable law.
34. DELAYS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- natural disasters;
- severe weather;
- fire;
- flood;
- industrial disputes;
- supplier failure;
- transportation disruption;
- international shipping disruption;
- customs delays;
- government action;
- shortages of materials;
- laboratory or assay-office delays;
- unexpected manufacturing difficulties; or
- other events outside our reasonable control.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact of any such delay and will keep you informed where appropriate.
This clause does not remove any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
35. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
In particular, Anikah does not exclude liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- defective goods where liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
- breach of statutory consumer rights; or
- any other liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Any limitation of liability applicable to a consumer contract will be subject to the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer-protection legislation.
36. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
Where you purchase as a consumer, goods must meet applicable legal standards, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where required by law.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions conflicts with a mandatory statutory consumer right, the statutory right will prevail.
37. COMPLAINTS
We want every Anikah customer to receive a personal and professional service.
If you have a concern, please contact us in the first instance at:
Email: hello@anikah.london
We will acknowledge complaints within a reasonable period and seek to resolve them fairly and promptly.
38. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Where appropriate, we may discuss alternative dispute resolution with you.
Nothing in this clause prevents you from exercising any legal rights available to you.
39. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions and any contract between you and Anikah are governed by the law of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to you.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings elsewhere.
40. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
41. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to your purchase will be the version provided to you or made available at the time you enter into the relevant contract.
Changes made after an order has been accepted will not retrospectively alter the contractual terms applicable to that order unless required by law or agreed with you.
42. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The Order Confirmation, agreed quotation, approved design/specification and these Terms & Conditions together form the contractual basis for your purchase.
Where there is a specific written agreement between Anikah and the customer which expressly differs from these Terms & Conditions, the specific agreement will take precedence to the extent of the inconsistency.
IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict rights which cannot legally be excluded.
In particular, consumers retain their statutory rights in relation to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, it will apply notwithstanding any contrary wording in these Terms & Conditions.
Where a statutory exemption applies to genuinely bespoke, personalised or customised goods, the exemption will apply only to the extent permitted by law.
